The British self-taught engineer Eric Hawkins presented an interesting development – the Solarbrella folding device, equipped with solar panels, which slips over any beach umbrella. The power of the product is enough to recharge a smartphone, player, tablet, laptop. You can use the new product not only on the coast, but also in the barbecue area, just in nature. Now, the inventor is sure, people can spend more time outdoors, without worrying about the battery level of their gadgets. Solarbrella 25-watt capacity is designed for ordinary portable beach umbrellas, often bought by vacationers or cottagers. In this model, there are two USB cables through which you can provide energy to both connected devices at the same time. The second version is intended for use by hotels, restaurants, shops, it has 4 USB cables and is capable of delivering 60-watt power. Of course, the new product attracts interest, but it has two drawbacks. Firstly, an umbrella is expensive (about $ 489 for an entry-level model, $ 770 for an advanced model), which means it can attract the attention of thieves. Secondly, if not the cheapest electronics are connected to the umbrella, such interest will only intensify. Solarbrella solar panels are made of silicon photovoltaic flexible elements that look like a polyethylene fabric. The device can be folded so that it is already conveniently stored or transported in a compact form, for example, when going on vacation.
