At the moment, the team for cleaning and painting high-altitude rear consists of at least 5 people: two people provide safety at the bottom and top, and three people carry out the cleaning-painting process. Using OutoBot will reduce the number of employees needed to 2 — one operator and one worker for safety. The device is equipped with a spray for water, chemicals and paint, as well as a video camera. OutoBot is installed in a special cradle. The total mass of the device of the manipulator and the cradle does not exceed 500 kg. In Singapore there are almost 250 skyscrapers and over 5 thousand high-rise buildings. Therefore, the city constantly raises the issue of bringing the facades into proper form. Automation of this process will increase the safety of high-altitude work, save paint and cleaning products, and solve the problem of replacing an aging workforce. The technological process consists in preliminary scanning the building surface with a video camera and identifying areas that need processing, while the area of paint application is clearly limited, which makes it impossible to get onto the surface of windows.
