ShadeCraft is developing a “smart” umbrella that protects from the sun at any time of the day. The startup participants called their brainchild Sunflower, which is a sunflower in Russian. The developers tried to provide for everything. The Sunflower is powered by special panels located on the umbrella on top, there is a camera, speakers, the ability to charge devices via USB port, Bluetooth and wireless Internet modules work, and the light also turns on when it is dark outside. The approximate cost of the new product has not yet been announced. Its release is planned in 2018, and maybe later. In the meantime, only a prototype model was presented at CES. According to the developers, voice control can also be added to the “smart” umbrella using Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant helpers.
