The new version of the Android operating system received several innovations, not all of which were immediately noticed. Experts drew attention to the possibility of supporting the AAC audio codec when transmitting music wirelessly via Bluetooth. This is a new generation format, which is predicted to be the glory of outdated MP3s. So far, only smartphones from the original Pixel line support it. Manufacturers of other smartphones running this OS will need to additionally activate the codec support in firmware. Google noted that most manufacturers are focused on the release of technology without classic 3/5 mm jacks and abandon wired headphones in favor of Bluetooth. The new audio codec guarantees efficient audio transmission with a high sampling rate (from 8 to 96 Hz) and support for up to 48 channels. Another innovation, the Fast Pair function, allows you to quickly activate gadgets when working via Bluetooth.
