Apple recalls old MacBook Pro

Apple said it is recalling older MacBook Pro laptops that had Retina screens. The fact is that the battery may overheat in them, leading to fire. The manufacturer does not specify the causes of overheating of the batteries. According to the company, the problem concerns part of the devices sold from September 2015 to February 2017. To find out if this or that laptop falls under this feedback campaign, you can enter its serial number on the manufacturer’s technical support website. As part of the action, Apple engineers will replace laptop batteries for free. It is enough for their owners to hand over their gadgets to the manufacturer’s service center. Repair may take 1 to 2 weeks. As Apple emphasized, the battery problem does not apply to other laptops from this manufacturer, even sold at the indicated time. However, in 2018, the company recalled part of the MacBook Pro with a diagonal of 14 inches due to problems with the batteries. True, there was no talk of a threat to consumer safety.
