Apple is negotiating with telecommunications companies, which will result in the launch of its own mobile virtual telecom operator in Europe and the United States. Sources close to the company assure that the company is already testing a similar service in the United States, and that Europe is in the early stages of negotiations with several European telecommunications companies.
If the project is implemented, Apple will be able to provide communication services to iPhone users. The virtual operator scheme will allow Apple to use the infrastructure of existing mobile operators and sell services under its own brand. This step seems logical after the release of the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 tablets with Apple SIM, which now works with several operators, including the global GigSky. Earlier this year, Google launched a similar project, Project Fi, which still works for users of the Nexus 6 smartphone.
