In China, Asus has announced the new Pegasus 2 Plus X550 smartphone, which continues the series following the low-cost Asus Pegasus X002, which was launched in 2014. In the new device, the manufacturer decided to focus on build quality. The novelty received a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of Full HD (1080 × 1920 pixels) and is based on a 64-bit eight-core Snapdragon 615 processor, supplemented by 3 GB of RAM. In comparison, last year’s Pegasus X002 boasted a 5-inch display with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels), a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor (1.5 GHz) and 2 GB of RAM. Also, the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus model is equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device supports working with two SIM-cards simultaneously. The battery capacity reaches 3030 mAh, and the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system with the Zen UI interface has become the software platform. Asus Pegasus 2 Plus will be available in two colors – pink gold and white. The exact release dates and price have not yet been announced.
