Atlas and Valkyrie robots easily overcome ruins (video)

The capabilities of humanoid robots are constantly expanding. Engineers at the Florida Institute of Human and Machine Learning (IHMC) are also working on this. They created an algorithm that allows robots to \The Atlas robots (manufactured by Boston Dynamics) and Valkyrie (it was designed by NASA) participated in the testing of the technique. The Atlas robot needed to perform the following tasks: safely cross the simulation of debris and cross the “hole” along a narrow board, the width of which is less than the foot of the robot. Valkyrie had to avoid collisions, squeeze sideways in narrow openings. The emphasis during the demonstration was on the fact that the new algorithm is not tied to a specific humanoid robot and other robots can perform similar tasks.
