BOE has new items: a stretchable tablet and a flexible smartphone (2 photos + video)

The “roll-up\However, a company from the Celestial Empire BOE, whose main specialization is the production of displays, has developed and presented the original prototype of a portable gadget with a flexible screen. Wean from double-bent analogues: the novelty twists the thin matrix inside the device’s body, while allowing, if necessary, to stretch the device to the desired diagonal. This is still a prototype, and developers are only planning to add touch input to the device. During the presentation, BOE also demonstrated other original developments: • an ultra-widescreen display for a car, “stretched” along the dashboard in full length (between the rear-view mirrors); • a more “traditional” model of a bendable smartphone with a 6-inch screen when folded or 7.7-inch in deployed; • a TV with a thin display made using BD Cell technology; • a 27-inch monitor with a resolution of 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels), a brightness of 460 nits and an image contrast ratio of 20,000: 1 with a case thickness of only 10.8 mm.
