SpaceX plans to create a new center for storing, recovering, and preparing for reusable reusable carrier rocket flights. The compact location of the new complex in Florida, in close proximity to the launch sites, will reduce the technological time required to launch Falcon missiles. At the moment, the company is considering the option of building a new technology center for the retraining of Falcon carrier rockets after returning them from space for subsequent flights. A site located south of the existing SpaceX launching sites located on Cape Canaveral has been selected. The first Falcon launch vehicle successfully landed in December 2015, after which 12 launch vehicles successfully returned from space. Landing was carried out both on land platforms and on platforms located at sea. Two Falcon rockets, after proper verification and recovery procedures, were re-launched into space, and they successfully delivered commercial satellites into orbit. In March, SpaceX signed a lease for the Spacehab project located on Cape Canaveral. Earlier work was carried out on resuscitation and preparation for re-flights of modules for NASA shuttles. The project is currently closed, shuttles do not fly. Today, another contract has been signed for the operation of 2.2 acres of land adjacent to the already rented premises of the Spacehab project. According to a statement by John Taylor, a Spokesperson for SpaceX, the new center being built by the company will be designed for storage and maintenance of Falcon launch vehicles. In the existing buildings of the Spacehab project, office premises and warehouses for equipment and missiles themselves will be placed, which currently lie in docks for SpaceX floating landing platforms that are not suitable for this. At the moment, SpaceX controls two stationary launch sites located in Florida. One of the sites is recovering from the 2016 disaster, when in September a rocket exploded – a carrier with a cost of $ 62 million and a communications satellite worth $ 200 million. As a result, the launch pad is disabled. Now SpaceX is carrying out restoration work and plans to launch the site into operation this year. SpaceX is preparing for the tenth flight this year and the third in nine days, the launch will take place on July 2. According to Mr. Taylor, SpaceX now lags behind the launch schedules by 70 flights, the cost of which is estimated at more than $ 10 billion.
