If compact solar panels can be used in camping trips and transferred in roll format, why not deal with more massive installations designed for individual, economic and military use? Renovagen implemented this idea in a product called Roll-Deployed PV Array (ROLLARRAY). Flexible solar panels, combined into a single wide durable 50-meter tape, are rolled up and can be deployed in minutes on virtually any surface, while installing a standard solar power station takes about 22 hours. For transportation, specially designed cars are not required; familiar trucks or an SUV are suitable. To quickly deploy a portable power station, it is enough to fix one edge of the roll to the towbar – a departing car will carefully deploy a carpet of solar panels that already contain the necessary batteries and energy converters for operation. For all the work you need no more than two people who will jointly unwind the roll, fasten it and connect the devices to the energy supply system. As emphasized in Renovagen, the device produces 10 times more energy than modern portable counterparts. In addition, the ROLLARRAY is capable of withstanding wind at speeds of more than 35 m / s, and it is ideal for military bases and temporary locations created during the aftermath of natural disasters.
