Fines for using gray smartphones increased in Russia

В России увеличены штрафы за использование серых смартфонов On June 2 of this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new law that amends the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. According to the additions, fines for the use of non-certified means of communication or “gray” smartphones have been increased if the legislation provides for their mandatory certification. Measures affect legal entities and officials, as well as citizens of the country. For individuals, this threatens with a fine of 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, with or without confiscated non-certified means of communication (Article 13.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), for officials the fine will amount to 15 000-30 000 rubles with or without confiscation and for legal entities a fine of 60 to 300 thousand rubles is imposed, again with or without confiscation.
