New flagship smartphones of the Lumia line – 950 and 950 XL from Microsoft are officially announced. New items will immediately come preloaded with Windows 10 Mobile. Smartphones are equipped with AMOLED displays with a resolution of WQHD (2560×1440 pixels). The diagonal of the Lumia 950 XL is 5.7 inches, and the 950 5.2 inches. The core of the older model was the liquid-cooled Snapdragon 810, and the Lumia 950 is based on the Snapdragon 808. The RAM is 3 GB. The main camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels, optical image stabilization and a triple RGB LED flash, front – 5 megapixels. The size of the internal memory is 32 GB, it is possible to use microSD cards up to 2 TB. Supported by high-speed cellular networks LTE. Also worth noting is the USB Type-C port, which allows you to connect a large number of peripherals to smartphones. Both support Continuum mode and when connected to a monitor turn into a mini-PC. This was made possible through the unification of the mobile and desktop OS and the so-called universal applications (all built-in applications in Windows 10 Mobile are universal, including Office). Microsoft also introduced the Continuum Dock, which has a USB-C connector for a smartphone on one side and standard USB, HDMI and DisplayPort for connecting a monitor on the other. The flagships received the function of wireless charging and support fast charging technology – this allows you to restore 50% of the charge in 30 minutes. The battery capacity is 3340 mAh for the Lumia 950 XL and 3000 mAh for the Lumia 950. Sales of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL will start in November. Recommended retail prices are $ 549 and $ 649, respectively. Versions with two SIM cards are also provided.
