Symmetrical USB Type-C is increasingly replacing the familiar Micro-USB connectors in new smartphones. So Gionee introduced its affordable 5.5-inch Elife S Plus with a new type of port. The second obvious advantage of the new product is the ability to work in LTE Cat.4 networks. The resolution of the AMOLED screen is 1280×720 pixels, it is protected from damage by Gorilla Glass 3. The processor is an 8-core Mediatek MT6753 processor with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz and Mali T720 graphics. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, internal – 16 GB. If desired, additional space can be obtained through microSD. The main camera has a 13-megapixel resolution, for video telephony and selfie a 5-megapixel front camera is installed. Work with two sim cards is supported. A 3150 mAh battery is used as a power source. The smartphone runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with the Amigo UI 3.1 shell. Gionee Elife S Plus will be available in three colors: gold, white and dark blue. Estimated cost – $ 260.
