Improving flight safety and ensuring passenger comfort can be ensured by the system of facial biometric registration, implemented by S7 Airlines (the brand of Sibir Airlines) at Russian airports. Currently, the innovation is being tested at the base airport of Domodedovo and allows you to go to the business lounge of the zone Departures of domestic flights. Similar biometric passenger identification systems are already at various stages of implementation at airports in Washington, Sydney and Los Angeles. S7 Airlines software operates on the basis of trained neural networks and is intended not only for unambiguous identification of a person by face, but also for personalization of various services. Currently, without presenting a boarding pass, passengers can only get into the Domodedovo business lounge. However, after the full implementation of the technology, the passenger will be able to go all the way from the entrance to the airport to his seat on the plane, without ever having delivered and not presented with the boarding documents. The developers emphasize that the database for customer identification is formed purely on a voluntary basis, only with the voluntary request of the passenger. You can register in the database near the check-in desks of S7 Airlines 104, 105 or 106, where the passenger will be photographed and he will draw up documents on voluntary consent to transfer biometric data. S7 technology is based on the development of the Russian company VisionLabs of the Luna platform system, which instantly analyzes streaming video and photographs, allowing you to carry out personal identification on the existing database.
