Natural gas is widely used in everyday life as an affordable fuel in apartment buildings and private houses, both for cooking and for heating. However, the earthly reserves of this resource are not unlimited, and some minds have long been looking for new ways to develop an artificial analogue that is not inferior to its original properties. An Israeli startup presented its solution – a compact biogas converter HomeBioGas. The device is able to process 6 liters of food waste or 15 liters of manure per day, producing gas at the outlet, which is enough for 3 hours of use. In addition, the machine produces pure, natural liquid fertilizer as a by-product. The authors of the HomeBioGas project launched a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo to launch the production of their invention. According to the developers, their system is perfect for residents of the private sector and agricultural areas, as well as citizens in developing countries. Installation is going in just 2-3 hours a couple of people. However, the manufacturing company emphasizes that the connection of the gas pipeline to the stove must be performed by a professional employee. Existing gas stoves can be adapted for the use of biogas by replacing pressure reducing pipes. The declared performance is achieved at an average daily temperature of 17 ° C, in cooler conditions, these figures are reduced. Therefore, the company recommends installing the converter in a well-ventilated and heated room, for example, in a greenhouse.
