In the Geekbench benchmark, a new, not yet released model of the Apple smartphone is seen – iPhone 12.1. Obviously, this is the iPhone 11, the direct “heir” of last year’s iPhone XR.
The iPhone 11 scored 5415 points in the single-core test and 11294 points in the multi-core. This is more than the iPhone XR but for less than the iPhone XS and XS Max. Most likely, the other two models (iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max) will pick up even more and become the most productive Apple smartphones in history.
Geekbench revealed some of the characteristics of the iPhone 11. This smartphone runs on iOS 13.1, and the amount of RAM is 4 GB, which is 1 GB more than the iPhone XR.
Apple is expected to release three new iPhone models again this year. Details of their technical specifications are known from unofficial sources.
- iPhone 11: 6.1-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1792 × 828 pixels, dual camera (12 megapixels main + 12-megapixel telephoto), 4 GB of RAM, 64, 256 or 512 GB storage and a 3110 mAh battery.
- iPhone 11 Pro: 5.8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2436 × 1125 pixels, a triple camera (12 megapixels main + 12-megapixel telephoto + 12 megapixels wide-angle), 6 GB of RAM, 128, 256 or 512 GB storage and 3190 battery mAh
- iPhone 11 Pro Max: 6.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2688 × 1242 pixels, triple camera (12 megapixels main + 12-megapixel telephoto + 12 megapixels wide-angle), 6 GB of RAM, 128, 256 or 512 GB storage and battery capacity 3500 mAh.
All models will use the new Apple A13 processor, which, among other things, will support the addition of real-time video effects (for example, background replacement). Smartphones also have support for wireless charging, including reverse charging – AirPods can be charged by placing the headphones in a case on a smartphone.
New iPhones will lose support for 3D Touch, but they will retain a tactile response, like the iPhone XR. In addition, it is known that Apple has improved the Face ID system: the scanner has a wider viewing angle, and the accuracy of face recognition is increased.
iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max may be the first smartphones of the company with a USB Type-C port. Thanks to this, it will be possible to charge an Apple smartphone, tablet, and laptop with one cable. In older models, stylus support will appear, but Apple will sell it separately.
