Justas Benad, it seems, is not in vain studying at the Technical University of Berlin. He recently came up with an original passenger plane that aroused KLM’s interest. The liner consists of 2 fuselages located at an angle to each other and connected by the cockpit. Delft University of Technology is developing. The liner should be more economical than many modern counterparts. It will consume 20 percent less fuel than the Airbus A350-900. And this with a similar capacity – 314 passengers. The current infrastructure of the airports will not need to be redone. A large model will make a test flight in early autumn. And at the exhibition, scheduled for October at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, a mock-up of the cabin will be presented. According to current plans, the novelty will begin commercial flights around 2040 – 2050.
