Innotek, a South Korean company, LG introduced its own fingerprint sensor, which can be \To authenticate, the user will only have to put a finger on the screen of the mobile device. The module developed by LG Innotek, as the company assures, is not inferior in accuracy to other modern developments used in smartphones. At the same time, the new technology will provide the opportunity to produce thinner devices with better tightness, which will provide additional protection against moisture and dust. A fingerprint sensor 0.3 mm thick is proposed to be installed on the inside of the protective glass in a niche with an appropriate depth. The area of glass under which the sensor will be placed can be indicated by the logo of the company manufacturing the mobile device, or by a pattern that would prompt the user where to put the finger. LG is currently in talks with smartphone makers to bring development to the market later this year.
