Merkel’s coronavirus re-test was negative.

The second test for a new type of coronavirus, made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, showed a negative result. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the statement of the German government representative Steffen Seibert.

He noted that Merkel will pass the third test early next week. “The Chancellor continues to work from home during quarantine,” Seibert said.

Angela Merkel self-isolated after contacting a doctor, who was subsequently diagnosed with a new type of coronavirus. The doctor gave the chancellor a pneumonia shot.

Merkel’s first test for the virus was also negative. Steffen Seiberg reported that the Chancellor feels well and follows the advice of virologists.

Due to the situation with the spread of the infection, the German authorities have prohibited gathering more than two people. An exception was made for families and people who live together. In addition, the authorities ordered restaurants, cafes, hairdressers and other businesses that provide services to the public to close if they cannot keep a distance of two meters between visitors.
