Linux Mint developers and CompuLab are working together to release a new mini-computer, the MintBox 3. The novelty should be quite compact, efficient and quiet. The top-end development option will be complemented by the eight-core Intel Core i9-9900K processor Coffee Lake generation. The high-performance chip will support multi-threading, and its clock frequency will be 3.6 – 5.0 GHz. The video system of the device will include a graphic discrete accelerator NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. RAM will be designed for 32 GB, SSD for 1 TB EVO 970. The manufacturer has provided passive cooling of the computer, thanks to which there will be no noise during operation. Dimensions of the novelty will be 300 x 250 x 100 millimeters. The software development platform will be the Linux Mint operating system. The novelty will be equipped with many interfaces, including: Wi-Fi, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, USB type C, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, micro-SD, mini-PCIe. A computer configuration based on the Core i9-9900K processor will cost about $ 2698. A simpler version with a six-core CPU Core i5 chip, an unnamed GPU, 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD drive will cost $ 1,543.
