The law enforcement bodies of the capital of Russia will soon be equipped with high-tech glasses that provide face recognition using augmented reality technology. Currently, more than 1,500 outdoor surveillance cameras in Moscow are equipped with a similar function. Developers are exploring the possibility of an operational response using analytical methods. In this case, the world-famous FindFace technology is used. As an example of the use of face recognition technology, Epson glasses (Japan) running Android were demonstrated. The law enforcement technology program provides for the development of the first working prototypes by fall 2019. Until then, the police will use a face recognition system embedded in a network of 1,500 surveillance cameras. In the future, this system will be extended to 167 thousand cameras. The specific dates for the appearance of augmented reality glasses for Russian police are not indicated.
