The inventor of Frankie Zapata, who is the founder of Zapata Racing, last Saturday hit the Guinness Book of Records, flying on a hoverboard 2252 meters long. To do this, he used the Flyboard Air flying skate of his own design, equipped with a compact jet engine. The device is capable of speeds up to 150 km / h and rise to a height of 3 kilometers. The fuel reserve is designed for 10 minutes of flight. As Frankie Zapata notes, Flyboard Air is still under development, and therefore flights on it are carried out at a low altitude and not at the maximum possible distance, according to technical specifications. At the time of setting the record, the Frenchman climbed to a height of 50 m, and his aircraft reached a speed of about 70 km / h. The previous record of flight range was only 275.9 meters. It was installed last year by the Canadian Catalin to Alexander Dur. Details of the aircraft were not disclosed, but outwardly it resembled a multicopter capable of supporting the weight of its inventor.
