Analysts at Counterpoint Research shared a fresh study on the speed of distribution of new versions of Android on smartphones of the most popular brands. The emphasis on data collection was placed on devices released from the third quarter of 2018 to the second quarter of this year.

As it turned out, Nokia smartphones are somewhat similar to the iPhone: according to analysts, 96% of all Nokia released since the third quarter of last year are running Android 9 Pie. In this indicator, HMD Global is the undisputed leader.

Samsung and Xiaomi were in the top three with 89% and 84%, respectively. In fourth place, Huawei – with a score of 82%. However, for some reason, the rating does not include OnePlus smartphones, which were among the first to receive Android 9 Pie.
