OnePlus smartphone manufacturer (China, Shenzhen), positioning its products as “flagship killers”, is actively updating the software for OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones (the first to be updated to Android 7.0 and 7.1.1). However, for earlier models of OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, updates are late, and technical support on the official forum stubbornly remains silent at the request of users. Participants urge OnePlus to pay attention to the requests of owners of old smartphones in order to create the necessary firmware and security updates. It is known that the OnePlus X smartphone, based on the outdated Snapdragon 801 processor, is not able to support Android Nougat, but security updates should still come out. At the same time, the 2015 OnePlus 2 (Snapdragon 810) model can count on an upgrade to Nougat. However, on all questions about the timing of the release of such an update for older smartphones, the official One Plus website does not give answers and remains stubbornly silent.
