A number of manufacturers are working on smartphones with screens without cutouts and openings, but with a sub-screen camera. Oppo and Xiaomi have already demonstrated prototypes of gadgets of this kind. Oppo introduced technology on a prototype of an as yet unknown device. Xiaomi showed development on a special version of the flagship Mi 9. In this case, the front camera was placed under the display, and the teardrop-shaped cutout was removed from the smartphone. Apparently, the implementation of the technology in both versions is identical. When such smartphones enter the market, manufacturers have not yet voiced. However, experts believe that this year is unlikely. So far it is only a demonstration of potential opportunities.
