In the framework of the largest exhibition in Asia, ChinaJoy (China Digital Entertainment Expo \u0026 Conference), the American brand Raytheon demonstrated the concept laptop Uncia. The company positions its gadget as the first gaming laptop on the planet, protected from dust and water in accordance with the IP68 standard. As a rule, military or industrial models supplement such protection. Raytheon Uncia is more like a traditional laptop for ordinary users. If you read the history of the enterprise, then everything falls into place. Raytheon is one of America’s largest military-industrial companies supplying military equipment and weapons. During the show, company representatives placed a 13-inch laptop in a transparent cube that was filled with water. Given the IP68 standard, Raytheon Uncia can be lowered into the water to a depth of 1 meter and kept there for half an hour for sure. The novelty is based on the eighth generation Intel Core i7-8550U processor with overclocking up to 4 GHz. Curiously, there are no fans in the gadget, and its power consumption is only 15 Wh. The display lid can be folded 360 °. By the way, the gadget weighs only 1.1 kilograms, and its thickness is 12.7 millimeters. The release dates of the device and its approximate cost have not yet been announced.
