Japan is the country where the emergence and promotion of exoskeletons is only gaining momentum every year. This year, Panasonic demonstrated several models from its arsenal. All of them are oriented for use in production, warehouses, medical institutions and other areas where considerable physical effort is required. The most powerful option is the Power Loader, which looks like a costume from fantastic stories. It is equipped with 20 electric motors that enhance human capabilities, and is intended for rescuers and builders. Exoskeleton AWN-03 is designed specifically for warehouse and factory workers who have to carry heavy objects all day long. The carrying capacity of the device is about 15 kg. AWN-03 can determine the next movement of the user, allows you to easily lift and carry weights, without creating a dangerous load on the lumbar spine. The product PLN-01, nicknamed \Now engineers are developing an additional upper unit, in the future it will allow additional heavy loads to be carried. The exoskeleton is aimed at older people who are increasingly difficult to move with age. Also, the manufacturer showed devices designed for caring for the elderly or with disabilities. Robot Resyone combines an automatic medical bed and a fully electric wheelchair – this will facilitate the work of staff in medical institutions. Self-Reliance Support Robot is a robotic device whose task is to help patients, people with disabilities and senior citizens move independently and perform daily routines (for example, go to the toilet or the kitchen, turn on the TV, water the flowers, and so on). The device is also designed to facilitate the work of carers. Self-Reliance Support Robot does not completely replace human movements, but only facilitates and makes them more confident.
