Russian engineers tested the tablet on the 40nm Multicor chip

Российские инженеры протестировали планшет на 40-нм чипе «Мультикор» (видео) YouTube showed the insides of a Russian tablet with a 40nm 1892BM14YA processor of the Multicor series, the operation of which is provided by two ARM Cortex-A9 cores with a clock frequency of 816 MHz. The tablet base was the domestic single-chip system Salyut-EL24PM. The operating system is also national – protected by Sailfish Mobile OS RUS. The tablet boasts 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 32 GB internal eMMC memory (up to 64 GB increase is possible) and a Mali-300 graphic card. Of the interfaces it has USB 2.0, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, I2S, I2C, UART, SPI, PWM, MFBSP, GPIO. Also added navigation system GLONASS / GPS / Beidou. The processor itself is made using 40-nanometer technology, which is an outdated method because the Apple A12X Bionic installed in the iPad Pro (2018) tablet was created using the 7-nm process technology. The engineers tried to create a completely Russian device and they almost succeeded, but ARM Cortex cores -so not domestic. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recognized the Russian origin of the system in January. Now engineers are working on adapting Sailfish Mobile OS RUS to Multicor chips with artificial intelligence.
