South Korean company Samsung introduced the new Galaxy M smartphones in India. Devices in this series will have to compete with brands from China that attract low-cost buyers. The pioneers of this series are the Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M10 with a teardrop-shaped Infinity-V display. The diagonals of their screens are large, as well as the capacity of the batteries. Externally, smartphones are quite similar, but there are differences. So, on the back of the Galaxy M20 there is a fingerprint scanner. The model has an IPS screen with a diagonal of 6.3 inches, an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9 and a resolution of Full HD + (2340 x 1080 pixels). The gadget is based on the Exynos 7904 proprietary processor with 8 cores, 2 of which are powerful, and 6 are energy-efficient. The device will come out with the following amounts of RAM and internal memory: 3/32 GB and 4/64 GB. The 5000 mAh battery supports 1-watt fast charging via a USB Type-C connector. The main camera of the Galaxy M20 was made dual with sensors of 5 and 12 megapixels. Aperture optics with f / 1.9 aperture was used. The second wide-angle module has a viewing angle of 120 °. Supports portrait mode. The resolution of the front camera is 5 megapixels, the aperture is f / 2.0. It can be used not only for video calls and selfies, but also for face unlocking. The Galaxy M10 is a bit more authentic and wider, however, the diagonal of its IPS LCD screen is 6.22 inches and the resolution is HD + (1520 x 720 pixels, aspect ratio 19.5: 9). The “heart” of the gadget was a rather old Exynos 7870 processor paired with 2/3 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal memory. There is no fingerprint scanner. The smartphone’s battery capacity is 3500 mAh, its charging power is 5 watts. You can charge the device through the micro-USB connector. All cameras are identical to those installed in the M20. Both smartphones run Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Samsung’s proprietary user interface Experience 9.5. Update to Android 9.0 Pie will most likely in the second half of the year. Both novelties will be sold in India, and exclusively in the online store. Galaxy M10 in the 2/16 GB format will cost customers $ 112, in the 3/32 GB format – $ 126. The Galaxy M20 version of 3/32 GB was priced at $ 155, and the option with 4/64 GB – at $ 183. Will sell budget smartphones outside of India, has not yet been reported.
