While US authorities prohibit the transport of some hoverboards on airplanes and think about new restrictions on their operation, Segway and Intel presented their joint creation at the CES 2016 exhibition – the Hoverboard Butler vehicle that can transform into an assistant robot. The novelty can be used as a familiar segway to travel up to 30 km at a speed of 18 km / h or as a butler, which is controlled by voice commands. The upper part of the device acts as the \To complete the image, a pair of hands can be attached to the product. Turning into a robot, the novelty recognizes the owner’s voice, executes his commands, follows the user, transports goods and can broadcast video. All this is made possible thanks to the integrated cameras and Intel RealSense 3D technology. Hoverboard Butler is an open platform. For developers, the gadget will be available in the second half of 2016.
