Singapore intends to transfer part of public transport to unmanned mode. For this, the local carrier SMRT and the Dutch company 2getthere created a joint venture 2getthere Asia and planned by the end of this year to launch third-generation Group Rapid Transit (GRT) buses on the roads. Unmanned robotic vehicles will be fully electric, will be able to reach speeds of up to 40 km / h and carry up to 24 passengers thanks to a transformable cabin configuration. Security is given special attention. An autopilot will follow the road, avoiding any obstacles and emergency. For the comfort of passengers there are wide automatic doors, air conditioning and information displays. So far, unmanned robotic buses will be launched in business parks, campuses, as well as on sections from the metro and parking lots to business centers. Autonomous vehicles will travel along regular roads with driver-driven vehicles.
