The Essential Phone project failed, but its author is actively working on the successor to Essential PH-2. The Internet has recently appeared technical details and design of the gadget. As evidenced by the set of images, the smartphone will be equipped with an original screen and a camera. The screen can become completely transparent, letting in the right amount of light. Thanks to this, the camera can be placed directly under it, without making holes. In this case, under the display there will be 2 sensors: a selfie camera, as well as an ambient light sensor. So there will be no “monobrow” or hole in the screen. The gadget will receive an OLED panel with almost no frames, becoming translucent when the selfie camera is activated. Also under the screen will be a fingerprint scanner. The name of the device, most likely, Essential PH-2. This follows from the documentation of the cellular operator of America. The novelty will function on the top Qualcomm chipset running Android 9 Pie. The novelty will have a USB-C charging connector and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which was not in the first Essential Phone.
