The Japanese company Sony Mobile Communications officially announced two new products at once – a phablet with thin frames Xperia C5 Ultra and a secure smartphone Xperia M5. The first model is equipped with a 6-inch Full HD display (1920 × 1080 pixels) with IPS matrix and Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology, a 64-bit eight-core MediaTek MTK6752 processor with a clock frequency of 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory with expandable microSD cards up to 128 GB. The smartphone supports 3G and LTE, options for one and two SIM cards will be available. There is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. The battery capacity is 2930 mAh. The Xperia C5 Ultra has a 13-megapixel main and front cameras, which are equipped with an Exmor RS sensor, an HDR function for photo and video shooting, as well as an easy-to-use “Super Auto” mode that analyzes the environment and optimizes settings. The front flash provides uniform illumination across the entire frame when taking a selfie. For more convenient use of the smartphone, the frame of the case on the sides is made minimal – 0.8 mm. Sony Xperia C5 Ultra received an aluminum border around the perimeter, dimensions – 164.2×79.6×8.2 mm, weight – 187 grams. The smartphone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Another feature of the model is the 21.5-megapixel main camera with 0.25-second hybrid autofocus and the possibility of video recording in 4K. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels, in this case without a flash. The smartphone received a 5-inch IPS FullHD-display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology. A 64-bit 8-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor with a frequency of 2 GHz and 3 GB of RAM is installed as a processor. Built-in – 16 GB, there is a microSD slot.
