KD Interactive began selling the world’s first Kurio Smart transformable Windows tablet for users aged 6 to 12. The novelty comes complete with a removable magnetic keyboard that turns the device into a mini-laptop, and an annual subscription to Microsoft Office and Microsoft Family Safety Parental Controls. The gadget is equipped with an 8.9-inch touch screen with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, a quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T processor with a clock frequency of 1.33 GHz – 1.83 GHz and an Intel HD Graphics, 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory with expandable microSD-card same capacity. 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage is provided. In addition, there are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless adapters, 2 MP and 0.3 MP cameras, Micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports. Power is provided by a 4900 mAh battery. Kurio Smart will be sold with a pre-installed Windows 8.1 operating system, which can later be upgraded to Windows 10 for free.
