The Belgian company Radionomy Group, which became the last owner of the famous Winamp audio player in 2014, decided to update the service for modern devices by introducing new services, including subscription, cloud service and podcasts. A popular music application, despite the lack of support, currently has over 100 million monthly users. Radionomy CEO Alexander Sabujan said the updated Winamp will be released in 2019. The music player will work as a single platform for desktop computers, smartphones and tablets. The application will be available for devices running iOS, Android and Windows. The platform will use Internet radio, playlists and podcasts. Work on updating Winamp has already begun, in September a version was released that allows working with Windows 10. On October 18, users will receive an update in which there will already be no paid services introduced in 2002 by AOL Corporation.
