In early November, the Caviar brand launched the iPhone 7 with a VT 23 titanium case, which is also used in body armor. Whether such a smartphone can protect its owner from a bullet, the experts decided to find out by firing live test cartridges from Baikal 442 and Makarov pistols from a distance of 4 meters. The tests performed showed that the titanium from which the iPhone 7 case is made corresponds to protection class 2-3 and can withstand a shot from a Makarov pistol and Kalash assault rifle. The smartphone’s performance after being hit by bullets is not guaranteed, but it can save the life of its user. By the way, this iPhone 7 model is dedicated to representatives of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation.
