The Japanese company Toshiba brought a Portege X30T transformer tablet to the IFA 2018 Berlin exhibition, aimed at a business audience, for which reliability of the device is important under any extreme operating conditions. The Toshiba Portege X30T has a magnesium alloy metal case with protection against external influences according to the American military standard MIL-STD-810G. The hybrid tablet has a 13.3-inch full HD IPS touch-screen IPS screen, an 8th generation Intel Core processor U, a complete Wacom stylus that recognizes 4096 degrees of depression, a D-Sub video output and an RJ-45 network connector. A fingerprint scanner, TPM hardware encryption module and Smart Card reader are available. Windows 10 became the operating system. User authentication by face with Windows Hello is supported. The weight of the mobile device is 810 grams with a thickness of 22.9 mm. The declared battery life is 8 hours. There are two keyboards that can be interfaced with a tablet: working with an additional battery, which gives another 6 hours of operation without access to the mains, and lightweight. The first version provides a network card, two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, VGA and spill protection. Toshiba Portege X30T will go on sale in October 2018 at a price of $ 1,500.
