The US Army will soon be waiting for interesting technical innovations. At military bases with a guarded perimeter, a large guard of soldiers will be replaced by automated armed guard towers “Tower Hawk”, controlled by gamepads with just a couple of guys in uniform. A peculiar command post will be located at a safe distance from the perimeter of the base. Images from cameras installed around the perimeter of the protected area on machine-gun turrets will be transmitted to the center. According to representatives of the American army, two operators at the control panel can do the work that a dozen soldiers traditionally perform. In addition, in the event of an attack, casualties from the US military will be nullified. The Tower Hawk is a collapsible structure housed in a shipping container. On the upper platform, a Browning M-2 .50 caliber machine gun and a Lapua sniper rifle under the .338 cartridge, remotely controlled, are installed. The system is currently being tested in Texas at Fort Bliss military base.
