Simultaneously with the announcement of the flagship smartphones of the Xiaomi Mi 8 line, the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi introduced the new generation fitness tracker Mi Band 3. The novelty inherited a recognizable appearance, but at the same time it underwent both external and hardware changes. The price, as before, remained quite low for this type of gadget. Xiaomi Mi Band 3, like the second generation tracker, is made in the form of a small capsule installed in a silicone bracelet. Only now, the OLED touch screen has become almost twice as large (0.78 inches), with higher resolution, gesture control and a convex shape. The device’s functionality includes displaying notifications, steps, weather and battery status, reading heart rate, sleep monitoring, and an alarm clock. The accessory is protected from water and can withstand immersion in water to a depth of 50 meters. True, the manufacturer did not report the IP indicator (Mi Band 2 has the IP67 standard). The novelty also has an NFC chip for making contactless payments. Whether there is support for Google Pay and Apple Pay is still unknown. The battery capacity is 110 mAh (for Mi Band 2 the indicator is 70 mAh), the battery life is still the same – 20 days. Data is transmitted via Bluetooth 4.2. Synchronization is possible with a smartphone on Android 4.4 KitKat or a newer OS, as well as with an iPhone on iOS 9.0 and later. Xiaomi Mi Band 3 fitness bracelet will go on sale at a price of $ 31 for the version with an NFC chip, the option is easier to cost $ 26.
